Tips and Tricks on How to Succeed in BULPRISA Competitions

one is born skillful. A fisherman is not born a fisherman. At first, he was
introduced to fishing. Then, he tries to do it and develops interest at it. He
practices it regularly until he masters the skill of fishing. The same goes
with one who aspires to be a BulPriSA champion. Winning a BulPriSA contest is
not a matter of chance nor luck; winning a BulPriSA contest is a matter of hard
work and training.
If you are given a chance to prove your wit,
dexterity, and/or strategic skills at BulPriSA, then I’m telling you, you’re
already a winner! Your school picked you among all your other schoolmates to
compete in a particular event, because your teachers know that your strength and
ability in your specialized field of learning is appropriate at the contest.
Participating at BulPriSA is a great privilege, and at the same time, a huge
responsibility to carry. That explains why most of the competitors get anxious
before and during the contest itself. There is this tense and edgy feeling that
makes the participant panicky and scared. That is no right way to succeed in
BulPriSA. If you’re reading up to this point, then I know you want to identify
the proper and correct way in dealing with the prestigious competition. Here
are some tips and suggestions that you may follow that may help you ACE the
BulPrisa Contest and be a champion:
1. 1. Always trust in God. Your mind
and body is directed and given strength by Him. It is a must to understand that
everything you can do you owe to God. He is the Master of every known and
unknown talent, so learn to rely in Him. Pray every single day for His
guidance, pray at the event day, pray at the contest proper itself, and
everything will just be a cinch.
2. 2. Change your lifestyle. Reduce
your “lakwatcha,” “facebook” and other activities that, unless necessary,
aren’t really worth your time. Remember, procrastination is your WORST enemy in
BulPriSA. I’m telling you that based on my experience. I advise that you make a
daily schedule. Wait, that sounds too
formal. It may do, but it really
helps! The common situation is you overwork your mind and/or body, then you
take a rest, and you proceed to the “entertainment section” until you lose all
your time. That doesn’t sound good, does it? So I suggest you make a regular
plan. Include in your schedule prayer time, training time, break time, training
time again. Sleep early at about 9 pm, tops. Wake up early. Drink plenty of
water. Eat fruits and vegetables. It does not only improve your lifestyle, it
would energize your mind and body a lot in training hours.
3. 3. Eliminate your ego. Many fail
because they have too much “ego.” It is proven. I suggest you throw away your
overconfidence and leave just enough. Be humble all the time. Respect your
mentor/s, in word and in action. Come to training session on time. Don’t think
that because you have won many contests previously or you have mastered your
skills and had the notion that “your brain has absorbed enough information already,”
the challenge would be a sure bet. Never, and I mean never, be too bold. Any
skills we learn require CONSTANT training.
Before
becoming a BulPriSA champion, one has to travail the path of laborious training
and challenges. It may sometimes be tiring, but it’s worth every headaches and
body aches. In the end, one will realize that acing the BulPriSA contest
requires acing your attitude first. God bless, chosen one!
